Temperature control during the sintering process of diamond saw blades is a crucial part of the process, which directly affects the cutting performance and service life of the blades. In order to ensure the sintering quality, the sintering furnace is usually divided into upper zone, middle zone and lower zone for more precise temperature control in different areas.
Upper zone temperature: During the sintering process, the upper zone is usually located at the top of the sintering furnace and its temperature setting is relatively high. This is due to the fact that the upper zone is closer to the heat source and the natural tendency of hot air to rise to a higher temperature in this zone. The high temperatures in the upper zone contribute to the rapid bonding of the diamond particles to the metal carcass and facilitate the sintering reaction. However, excessively high temperatures can also lead to thermal damage to the diamond particles and therefore need to be precisely controlled.
Temperature in the middle zone: The middle zone is located in the middle of the sintering furnace and is the core area of the sintering process. The temperature setting in this zone needs to take into account the bonding strength of the diamond particles to the metal carcass as well as the overall performance of the saw blade. The stability and uniformity of the temperature in the center zone is critical to obtaining a high quality sintered body. Therefore, during the sintering process, the temperature variation in the center zone needs to be closely monitored and adjusted according to the actual situation.
Lower zone temperature: The lower zone is located at the bottom of the sintering furnace and its temperature setting is relatively low. This is due to the fact that the lower zone is far from the heat source and is affected by the exhaust gases and heat dissipation generated during the sintering process. The low temperature in the lower zone helps to minimize thermal damage to the diamond particles and promotes uniform cooling of the sintered body. However, too low a temperature may result in an inadequate sintering reaction and affect the performance of the saw blade. Therefore, when setting the temperature of the lower zone, the cooling rate of the sintered body and the performance requirements of the saw blade need to be considered.
It should be noted that different models of diamond saw blades and different sintering processes may require different temperature settings. Therefore, in actual operation, it needs to be adjusted and optimized according to the specific situation. At the same time, in order to ensure the sintering quality, parameters such as sintering time, pressure and atmosphere need to be strictly controlled.
